Jennifer Brott, Nutritionist (maternity leave begins May 26, 2018)

A Registered Holistic Nutritionist and founder of Vancouver based nutritional consulting firm, My Edible Advice, Jennifer’s expertise and practice are rooted in an unwavering commitment: to empower individuals to reach their health and wellness goals by providing them with the tools to thrive. 

Fuelled by this conviction, My Edible Advice has sparked an appetite for optimal health and wellness that extends far beyond its Vancouver base. Today, Jennifer and her team provide nutritional consultation, cooking classes, and meal planning sessions to a worldwide set of individual and organizational clients in pursuit of the knowledge to nourish and map to optimal health.

Jennifer has developed a keen interest in gastrointestinal, prenatal, and oncology nutrition, and her breadth and depth of knowledge in these areas is reflected in her private practice.

A maritime girl at heart and west coaster in home, Jennifer seeks solace where the mountains meet the ocean, and finds bliss in the bounty and buzz of a local farmer’s markets. She believes that health is happiness, and that to engage, enable, and empower her clients to live their best life is to do the very same for her. 

Jennifer proves that healthful choices can be as easy as pie; her homemade pecan pie, to be exact.

 

 

Jordan Bruce, Nutritionist 

Jordan is the owner Bruce's Roots and consults with clients at My Edible Advice. She has always been passionate about health and wellness, but choose to get a BA in Criminology and Psychology. After 9 years in a stressful industry, her love of plant-based eating, fitness and health was stronger than ever. She is trained in live blood analysis and works with people to discover what they can change in their diet to improve their health and wellbeing. She chose to enroll Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and is now a practicing Holistic Nutritionist (RHN). Jordan is also a DNA practitioner.

Jordan especially enjoys working with clients that see the benefit of making lifestyle changes to ensure they continue improve their health and support prevention of illness. She is passionate about plant-based eating, increasing energy levels, sports nutrition and the use of adaptogens to balance hormones.

Jordan loves cooking simple recipes and photographing her food to inspire others to get into the kitchen. On her days off, you'll find her in the forest hiking with her dog, Zoey. She loves going to fitness classes such as spin, pilates and HIIT. Her love of meeting new people and building community ties makes her a great fit for consulting.

 

 

Jenessa Hlatky, Adminstrative Team

Jenessa is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, certified from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Her journey began years earlier when she struggled with undiagnosed digestive difficulties that really impacted her life. On her pursuit to wellness, she worked at a health food store and gained a lot of interest and insight into how nutrition can have a profound impact on your overall health.

Naturally, Jenessa takes a special interest in digestive health. She believes that gut health directly relates to a number of conditions that manifest in different ways, including skin and mood. Jenessa is excited to be a part of the MEA team to expand her knowledge and gain valued experience. Being a true foodie, her approach is balanced and mindful. She believes people don’t need deprivation, but more nourishment.

Most of Jenessa’s spare time is spent in the kitchen creating recipes. She also enjoys venturing out to farms to pick fresh berries, exploring markets to find local goods, and being out in nature exploring the beauty.
